Here is another awesome testimonial of our Kickboxfit program. What are you waiting for? you're just a phone call away from leaner healthier you. "YOU CAN DO IT!"

After years of struggling with my weight, I was tired of being fat,  I was more tired however, of the lose and gain cycle that always ended with me gaining the weight back (including additional pounds than I had started with).  I knew something had to change, but the idea of a diet only made me hungry.  I knew that i would have to include exercise.  I started kickboxing three times a week and cut down portion size.  That was it, but that was all it took.  I've lost over thirty pounds and managed to keep it off.  Now, it's not about weight.  It's about feeling good and being healthy.
Thank you Sensei for your help, for your support, and for always being in my corner with a "You Can Do it!"

Since my wedding 10 years ago I put on 60 pounds. I never really had the urge to do something about it. "I was big and will always be big" I thought.  One day at my nephews birthday party I saw a mom jumping in the jumper with her kids.  I thought, I want to be able to do that! So started my weight loss journey. One of my friends suggested I come to kick boxing with her, eventually I agreed. Figuring I wouldn't like it or wouldn't be able to keep up.  But I did well. It took a couple of sessions but I was able to do the whole class without stopping.   I was also able to knock over the bag with one kick! Something I am pretty proud of.
It took about a year of classes when I actually changed my eating habits and started eating healthier. Something Sensei always told us at the beginning of each class (I just choose to ignore).
I have lost 30 pounds and over 25 inches to date. I am so much stronger and more confident because of this class. Sensei is a great teacher and motivator. When ever he sees me slacking...he points me out and says "Mimi...You Can Do It!".  Hearing that always pumps me up!
I love my kickbox fit!

Update on Mimi 09/23/07

Here is the new picture taken last weekend.

I am over 33 pounds lost and 28 inches lost. I just started waking up each morning at 5:00 am to walk. I am training to do that DisneyHalf Marathon with Tangie next year. Mind you, I will be walking...Running is for crazy people! Ha!

I am on a goal to lose 26 pounds in 26 weeks. So I am trying to step it up a few notches. You probably didn't want to know this, but I figure the more people who know...the more people to keep me accountable to my goal.

Here we are winding down the Spring 2008 session. We had another great turnout for the spring Kickboxfit session with over 150 participants. The following are testimonials from some of the participants. Thank you for your input.

From AMY

The Kickbox Fit Class is awesome!!!  I must admit at first I was worried that it would be too much for me to handle.  I recently had a baby and was out of shape but Sensei Rick Duffy assured me that I could do it and has continued to motivate me to punch harder, kick higher and give it my all.  After meeting three times a week for the past six weeks I have lost a total of 9.5 inches.  I am so happy that I joined this class.  It's fun and a great workout.  If I can do it so can you.
